VIASURE Mumps, Enterovirus & Parechovirus Real Time PCR Detection Kit is a real time RT-PCR assay designed for the qualitative detection and differentiation of RNA from Mumps virus, Enterovirus and/or Parechovirus in swabs specimens from vesicles, cutaneous skin, mouth, saliva, mucosal lesions (for Mumps and enterovirus), nasopharyngeal swabs and plasma samples (for Mumps) from patients with suspect of Mumps virus, Enterovirus and/or Parechovirus viral infection, by their healthcare professional (HCP).

This test is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of Mumps virus, Enterovirus and/or Parechovirus infection, in combination with clinical and epidemiological risk factors.

RNA is extracted from clinical swabs specimens and plasma samples. Complementary DNA (cDNA) is synthetised and amplified using real time PCR and detected using fluorescent reporter dye probes specific of fusion protein (F) gene of Mumps, 5’UTR gene of Enterovirus, and 5’UTR gene of Parechovirus.
