VIASURE EBV q Real Time PCR Detection Kit is designed for the specific detection and quantitation of Epstein-Barr virus viral load in human EDTA-plasma and EDTA-whole blood samples.

The intended use of this test is to aid in diagnosis and monitoring of EBV infection and treatment management in combination with clinical and epidemiological risk factors. DNA is extracted from human simples, amplified using real time PCR and detected using fluorescent reporter dye probes specific for EBV.

In addition, this kit contains 5 lyophilised vials with different standardized concentrations of EBV specific DNA for the quantification of EBV viral DNA in clinical samples, ensuring accurate quantification of viral load in copies/ mL or IU/mL using a conversion factor.
