VIASURE Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis & Mycoplasma genitalium Real Time PCR Detection Reagents RUO is a non-automatized qPCR test designed for simultaneous qualitative detection of DNA from Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Mycoplasma genitalium in clinical samples.

After DNA isolation, the identification of the Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, and Mycoplasma genitalium is performed by the amplification of porA and opa genes (Neisseria gonorrhoeae), a region within ORF2 of the chlamydial plasmid (Chlamydia trachomatis) and MgPa adhesin gene (Mycoplasma genitalium), using specific primers and a fluorescent–labelled probe.
